This past week was a whirlwind of activity. Along with the students of Trinity College of Florida, we had the opportunity to lead worship for two segments of the “Calibrate” conference in Tampa, Florida. What an exciting time! We heard from Laura Story, Mark Lee of Third Day, Mark Hall of Casting Crowns, Zack Williams and songwriter/producer Jason Ingram. Laura was very excited to have us there that she asked us to close out her teaching set with a worship song! I even had the opportunity to sing and share one of my new songs “Holy God” which will be released on February 14, 2017, Valentine’s Day! This opportunity literally “fell” into our laps! We are grateful for Salem Media Group and the organizers of “Calibrate” to include us in this event for the day – we had a blast!
It reminds me – that our Lord is the “master planner,” or “orchestra conductor” of our lives! Psalm 32:8 states, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” And Isaiah echoes this truth in Isaiah 48:17, “This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go” (NIV). For us to be open to God’s leading we need to be listening to His Spirit through His Word. We must be willing to rearrange our schedules to allow His leading and planning to unfold before us. Then we must trust and step out in faith and keep in mind that it is all for His Glory and Honor.
How has God spoken to you this past week? What does He have planned for us this coming week? I am reminded to sit still before Him and allow Him to speak to me, through His Word. Can’t wait for what He is going to do!
